hmmm true. however they aren't really random
she's comparing how the culture changed from being white,rock,country and 'wholesome' to allowing for different types of people ideas and music being referred to as classic (new) Americana
same way she compares the independent successful business woman, the legal marijuana and gay marriage things that were not possible in the old Americana
also how survival of the richest replaces survival of the fittest in the modern world
i think the lyrics and social commentary are quite clever
@ you thinking that Taylor's team would ever let Iggy get into the stage with her. Taylor is too smart for that, she don't want anything to do with Racist's backlash - she is the most hated artist in the US for sure.
