I think she can go edgy but without shock value.
I like the whitney houston tribute but also the TCA look with less frill and a darker color could work for her.

While she looks better now, I really liked the way she looked in the FF photoshoot and in the era's music videos. Her make-up was on point. She still looked like a mess in most of that year tho.
