BS has a better shot at ROTY than SOTY but UF has to take that. Maybe SOTY is a possiblity, but that's never as sure as ROTY for the bigger hits.

Bad Blood not in Pop Duo/Group?

I'll be kind of surprised if Black Messiah makes it into AOTY. It is one of the most acclaimed albums in recent memory but its buzz died down very quickly, it peaked at only #5, and TPAP took its spot as the top urban candidate.

tpab hasnt sold all that hot either, despite the fact that it was number 1 for two weeks. This goes for the album and its singles.

Im about to throw a bone here. The Blacker The Berry for ROTY? Seems unlikely but im just throwing it out there.

Taylor will sweep a lot of categories but they always give AOTY to a less GP-friendly choice. I think TPAB has a good chance.

Perhaps, but it's still had a bigger impact commercially and Kendrick is the much hotter and more visible figure of the two today. Plus, TPAB's buzz lasted longer I think. As for TBTB, I wouldn't be completely shocked to see it in ROTY because the competition is kind of dire this year and the only songs that stick out to me as definite contenders are Uptown Funk, Blank Space/Bad Blood, and Thinking Out Loud.

To Pimp a Butterfly is the second best-selling rap album of the year and will finish off the year somewhere in the top 10 on the overall chart. It's still in the top 50 of the album charts, too.

I'm fearing that D'Angelo will be relegated to the R&B field like Voodoo was back in 2000, especially now that The Weeknd is appearing as the Great White Hope for R&B this year. I wouldn't be surprised if D'Angelo swept that field, though.
