It didn't need an era. The song was a sizeable hit. It was still top 10 going into 2010. VEVO had just launched, it wasn't even a fraction as big as it is now, but I think it should have at least 80 million... It's forgotten so I expect recurrent views to be bad but overall views should be much higher since it was a decent sized hit post YouTube/and right around the time VEVO launched.

I really wish I could remember Britney from 1998 - 2001 but I was too young. She's still a big force but I would love to have stanned back when she was the biggest phenomenon ever . I didn't become a fan of her and get all her albums until just before her breakdown.

It did need an era though. Had The Singles Collection had a second single, it would have helped "3" maintain decent views. "3" was just allowed to die, while "Hold It Against" me had three singles that followed it that helped to keep it alive.
