She seems to have a problem reconciling how she views herself and the fact of her pop career.
Very few artists have managed to maintain great commercial success and critical acclaim, and the ones who have (like Madonna or David Bowie, to speak of two of her influences) went through severe periods of lessened success and/or critical drubbing based on everything from the quality of their music to their appearance.
So either she should stop complaining and pound away at what she does until people recognise as the "music legend" she wants to be, or she should sacrifice the benefits of pop stardom and just focus on the work.
But if she wants to continue balancing the two, she should be prepared for further criticism (as unfair as it is when it comes to things like age and appearance, especially for women).
Her ambition though.
I don't mean this as shade, but she was literally humping an inflatable orca while scantily dressed in her first music video. And as if Poker Face and LoveGame shy away from typical representations of beauty
