And they attacked me in my PRISM vs. 1989 streaming thread. Not Katy's fault streaming includes Spotify and Taylor pulled her music from it.

I swear I've seen a ton of Swifties say that taking her music down from Spotify hasn't had a negative effect on her streaming power, yet now it's unfair to compare their streaming numbers because Taylor doesn't have Spotify? I'm confused.

Anyway, we better enjoy it while it lasts. It won't take long for her to rake up another 900M views between the Wildest Dreams MV, sixth single MV and recurrent views for singles 1-4.

You were right including them, it's true that Taylor's youtube views increased thanks to removing her songs from spotify, probably now the overall streams would be around the same.

That can be solve by converting Spotify streams with 1 to 1 conversion rate to Vevo views.

That was actually the primary usage of YouTube between the p2p file sharing era and the streaming era. Playing videos with music in it as background music or radio replacement in your room.

It's easier than trying out file sharing programs, risking viruses, waiting for downloads to complete, filling up the laptop hard disk,... Grandparents can use YouTube without googling tutorials.
