Listen to "2 On", "All Hands On Deck" (solo version, not the remix), "Feels Like Vegas" and "Wildfire". I feel like you'll enjoy those. "Drop That Kitty" is alright, too.

Max Martin has had around 20-25 flop singles this decade already (US singles that have missed the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100). She should branch out and work with new producers. While he's a safe bet for the most part, he's not bulletproof. And at this point in her career, Katy can afford to take a risk and release a non-Max/Luke lead.

I love most of 1989 and some other songs on Red and Fearless. I think she's one the best songwriters right now (see Ronan, All Too Well and Clean) but sometimes something about her personality smells fishy

I've always liked her, well since "Love Story" and "You Belong With Me" anyway, but I never really checked for her. I didn't hear much about her again until "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", which I didn't like at all at first. But I listened to 'Red' when it was first released and I really loved the album, definitely one of the best albums of 2012 for me. Since then she's been on my radar, obviously. I'm not so sure I like her as a person, but she has evident songwriting talent and can execute a Max Martin bop well, as '1989' has shown. "Blank Space" and "How You Get The Girl" are better than at least half of 'PRISM'.
