Well, I mean, narc still doesn't mean what you think it means, but no, I live in a moderately sized city with an expanse of suburbs, subdivisions, and malls with a busy downtown!
Des Moines is wonderful and very cultured (except the suburbs I've been looking for permanent living at are somehow both over 85%, which is a mess
