And so many Americans forget that the majority of the States used to be a Spanish colony, and later Mexico, (where do you think the names "Florida", "Los Angeles", "San Francisco", "Las Vegas" come from?) and that there are many ethnically Latin, Spanish-speaking families who have lived there for centuries. It's why ignorant people saying "speak English, we're in the USA!" infuriates me, they don't understand that Spanish is as much a part of American history as English.
