FS/LS is one of the most iconic (for real) and trend-setting albums of the past 15 years.

The Danja songs on Blackout are on par with the FSLS/Loose stuff (and it's really personal opinion which you prefer) but the B&A stuff is what elevates Blackout above those other 2 for me.

Blackout is the superior, perfected version of those albums. It does away with the sappy R&B and pop ballads and gives us A+ bop after bop after bop, with cutting-edge studio trickery that still hasn't been matched.

It was not on her name. Plus she didn't have that "explosive" single she has every era that catapults her into relevancy.

Also, the A/C crowd won't actively check her stuff out, they will only know it when it's soon heavy rotation, something she didn't do that era.

We predicted her to flop in TTAL and yet she had a couple of hits, a great tour and respectable sales. She's still an asshole though.

I used to hate Avril too because she was such a bratty **** but she was also like 17 so it's understandable.

I have mad respect for Kelly. She is so respectful and tolerant, without looking harmless or spineless.

Pink has Kanye's ego, thank God she isn't as famous, if her media presence was larger she'd be even more obnoxious than she already is.

Avril's 2 albums had very impressive sales in addition to some great music and emotional maturity unmatched by any artist her age until Lorde happened (and yet Lorde didn't match her yet). She was bratty when she sold out.

Back then if you were a white girl in pop you were either a clone or an anti Britney. Before her all the new solo female artists were either R&B girls or adult contemporary, then after she came out...

Clones: Xtina, Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore, Willa Ford, Samantha Mumba (they tried to pass her off as white), Shakira (not a clone per se but they tried to market her as a Latin Britney)

Anti Knees: Avril (who badmouthed her live on television repeatedly), P!nk ("Tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears/She's so pretty, that just ain't me" - lyrics from her M!ssundastood album), all the "real music" girls like Michell Branch and Vanessa Carlton

She reset the pop landscape, always the trend-setting Queen of Pop
