I feel a bit weird picking 'favourite albums ever' because I feel like it makes me seem very narrow-minded with music but those two albums are just absolute highlights of my entire life, even beyond just a musical context so I hold them to higher degrees.

They're the only two albums in existence I'd confidently rate above a 9 out of 10 too.

It's the variety and the concept that really get me. Even though I admit there are weaker songs, it all works together because each song represents a different component of 'red' and they all compliment each other.

I don't use the deluxe.

No, it's longevity.

Her albums are like 80% filler and each album has about 3 decent songs. I could never be invested in someone like that.

of course they had bonus tracks. but there weren't any huge mainstream artists before B'Day who were releasing exclusive editions that were being marketed separately from the standard edition of the album with different cover art and being promoted as hard as the B'Day deluxe edition.
