It's kind of a long shot, but I don't see why it couldn't if the song is catchy and uplifting, is released in late November, has the H&M campaign promo, a great music video and strong airplay all around the same time.
When was the last time a Christmas song went #1 anyway?

Ya'll want Katy to server Mariah record so bad.
Let Katy rest. She'll slay in 2016 however, it would be nice for Katy to replicate Mariah's achievement
#1 hits in the 90s
90- vision of love, love takes time
91-someday, don't wanna cry, emotions
92- i'l be there
93-dream lover
94-hero
95-fantasy
96-one sweet day, always be my baby
97-honey
98-my all
99-heartbreaker
and then thank god i found you in 2000.
Katy almost did it but either way she's finel
2010-california gurls, teenage dream, fireworks
2011-e.t. lfn
2012-part of me
2013-roar
2014-dark horse
2015-

2016-2018 slayage i'm sure
It's ok if she doesn't achieve it.
