That's me, though I don't think that makes me a legend. There was a lot of toxic stuff going on on the board at that time, and moderators were getting fed up about drama popping up in random threads about new Britney Spears videos so I just created the thread so that people would stop flooding threads with pointless ****.

I had no idea it would be used for so, so long. That's a crazy thread to look through.

There was website drama from time to time -- ATRL was shut down for awhile, if memory serves correctly, and there was a mass transfusion of users to a crappy alternative that didn't last long. AIM chats were the solace, the one constant through it all. I barely ever remember posting anything on the actual ATRL boards because the people who were online a lot were just in chat and shooting the breeze. Lots of memories from those AIM chats.

If you want to look something up, google "SeventhDemon0," it was my (extremely cheesy) AIM username and there are some copy-pasted chat logs from those days that are on the backup board that is still around to this day.

I graduated high school in 2004 and by that time was pretty far out of the ATRL scene, so my memory gets even hazier then. But **** was crazy in the AIM chats, believe that. Lots of online relationships, breakups, and a bunch of cringeworthy stuff in-between.

This actually sounds really interesting, let me google it tonight.

I had no idea what AIM was before today tbh. I had MSN and my friends would spam me with that dancing pig one and we were like 8 but we still made Demi Lovato jokes.

Too bad they got rid of it. No idea why but it was needed and is still needed imo

Nothing makes me feel older than realizing that my username is a reference to P. Diddy's "Bad Boy for Life" video where Ben Stiller calls him Papa Diddy Pop. That makes me feel like a fossil. I thought Stiller's delivery was so funny though so I made it my new username when ATRL started up. I eventually changed it to PDP -- I'm pretty sure back in the day you could change your username willy-nilly, I'm not sure if that's still the case today, and that's where it stayed.

So no, PDP has not done PCP. But coming back to this site has been a real trip just the same.
