The decline in sales has approximately followed the declining market. In fact when it comes to 1989 I think it will have done better overall when taking the market into consideration.

But I don't care to argue about "impact outside the charts" at this point; it'll become clear eventually.

I just hope it's clear that if you're playing the numbers game, then it is not a debate. It's not a "well Taylor might pass her." It's not a "they're about equal." It's not a "Taylor is a little more successful."

Taylor is MUCH more successful. On the Hot 100, the Billboard 200, radio, album sales, everything.
