I think you guys see only the superficial things and don't actually dig any deeper.
Taylor Swift has impacted pretty much every girl in the Western World. Pretty much every girl tries to dress like her and emulate her style. They want to be best friends with her. They want to BE her. Even if they say they dislike her, they are simply jealous and still dress like her, want to be her, and secretly listen to her music & watch her videos in their spare time. Taylor did not invent her style necessarily, but nor did Gaga.. I am not going to compare her with Madonna etc, but let's just say Gaga is a lesser impactful version of Madonna whereas Swift is her own unique character, spawning millions of 'good girls' wanting to be like her (whether they acknowledge her impact or not).
You guys say she has no musical impact, and yet there are dozens of legends praising her (as with Gaga) & dozens of newbies saying they want to be like her and that they are really impressed with all she has achieved. She invites famous guest to her shows, and has such impact and sway that whatever song they performed will suddenly receive so much attention. Taylor popularised the singer-songwriter teen sensation. She is the improved version of Britney Spears.
Her songs, videos, persona are immensely popular and renowned, and you cannot be popular without having impacted people who then MAKE you popular and let you into their lives.
Attention-grabbing things might come to mind when you think of Gaga, but Swift's impact on women in particular is a lot more profound and pronounced.
P.S. I have lived in France for 1 year, so I understand Taylor is not popular there. Therefore, it might be hard for some to admit her impact & domination in the Anglo world.
Gagas impact isn't really present anymore since some years, but Taylors is very strong at the moment (and i agree mostly with TSwizzle before me). Future will tell how long she will be able to sustain it.

Taylor's : VMA 2009 and the Apple thing.
The only thing Taylor impacts is her own bank account. Not a negligible impact, but should we really care?
