8 episodes is great, and honestly this will help in the event that her acting skills aren't well-received (it won't be Gaga overkill in case they aren't).
I have faith she'll be incredible in Hotel, though.
If you think about it, how much sense would it make for the owner of the Hotel to be in every single episode?
If Kathy Bates is running/in charge of the Hotel, wouldn't it be annoying for the owner to ALWAYS be there?
Just my two cents.

Honestly, Francis's death in Freakshow came at the right time. It was unexpected and twisted. Just cuz you love an actor doesn't mean they should always play leads.
I hope Sarah and Evan have smaller roles this year, or at least something different.

The way that whole episode played out, and how her death came, was right, yes, but it still felt too early and it was obvious it only happened to shock us.
Franny is never given a proper lead role, so idk what you're talking about. She was in 11 episodes in Murder House, her most to date, but even then, she wasn't given a main cast billing and her appearances weren't as extensive as anyone else's (although she did surpass Denis that season).
She was only in 5 episodes in Asylum, and although it worked for her role, I wished we would've seen more of her.
And 10 episodes in coven, including a quick cameo in episode 1, and then no lines in episode 6.
And then she was only in 8 episodes, total, in Freak Show, and half of them had less than 5 minutes of screentime from her.
She's constantly slept on & snubbed despite her being the best actress in the show. She needs a proper main cast role that uses her to the full extent rather than holding back, because she still blows everyone out of the water in the minimal scenes she gets.

Frances was ****ing AMAZING in Asylum. Like when I saw her as the Angel of death my jaw dropped. She was just fantastic.
The ONLY thing I ask of Gaga is that she doesn't use that fake phony northern New Jersey accent that she tries to use. It's cute for comedic skits, but this really isn't the place for that. That's part of what makes her acting so sloppy imo. It just comes off as too try hard. I feel like she'll either be fantastic, or she'll fall flat. There's never really an in between with her.

Really though, Franny is so underrated and unappreciated. The roles she played were the best in the seasons yet Ryan still giving her less screen time. And Franny's totally one of the foundation of AHS just like Jessica.

I 100% agree with Frances being just as much of a mainstay as Jessica for the show. If she doesn't at least return for a cameo I'll be devastated.

Gaga's character is possibly/probably based on Baroness Eloise Wehrborn, the lust-mad Empress of Galapagos

The promo team should turn the dot underneath the O in the word Story into a key to go with the Hotel theme.

Hasn't one of the 5 guys above dyed his hair blonde though?
So, only 4 guys we can barely tell apart..
I agree, Frances is underrated. She was fantastic in Asylum and I liked her performance in Coven also. I think her interactions with Jessica were highlights in both those seasons.
