Maybe I'm just being ignorant, but why is the server acting up? I don't see how having more members causes an issue since most were guests beforehand - the only thing that changed is that they now have accounts, so the traffic has stayed relatively the same, didn't it? Does giving them accounts really put a strain on the server?
Maybe because of more posts and activity within the site etc.
Plus I think registrations bought more traffic since we trended and everything, the guest amount probably went up too. And like the update says they're working on the server so that too.
The server has been really clunky for the last hour.
I keep getting some weird page saying that we're completely offline and no cached page exists.
