Crystals only repel "evil" magic I guess? a bit like the book of shadows, which is why Paige could orb the crystals around a room.

But they have trapped themselves inside of the cage and it wouldn't let the out unless the moved/(Paige orbs the crystal) but I guess. The better question is how tf did GENIUS Prue's crystal cage became the new cage that stopped shocking demons when Paige cane along.

I assume it still creates a physical barrier that stops anyone/thing moving through it, but the crystals them selves can only be moved by good magic when active, e.g orbing, so for example the Source in season 4 could only escape the cage once he stole Paige s magic and he wasn't able to move it using his own telekinesis.

I don't know how it changed from a electric net of pain, to a cage though, maybe the enchantments they put on them changed? I feel like there was so many unexplained things like that, they never had time to explain/explore having a whole hour time slot rather than 44mins would have helped somewhat with this, or more seasons without the fear of being cancelled so they could move at a slower pace may have helped as well

Yes she definitely did I feel. I got that when Piper is dying in the hospital and one of those FBI guys with guns comes into the room and she punches him in the face and goes flying. She definitely used her powers with that i reckon.

I just watched the episode with Pipers wedding and Prue's astral self escaping because she felt so repressed after taking care of her sisters for so long. That little scene with Phoebe telling her (and I'm paraphrasing) 'you took care of us, we're okay now and everything me and Piper have is because you sacrificed your life for us to have it, it's time for you to have it for yourself.' made me sad knowing that she was about to die and will never get it in the series

She probably just didn't think about it. She used it on them before to make them change their minds about killing her and stuff and she also made Phoebe and that himbo get married so it does work on witches.
