If you do the actual research and look at the evidence over the span of Christina's career, instead of blindly typing out "follower" because you're jealous, it's clear that Christina was a major trendsetter and that MANY artists and fans were inspired by her. Lady Gaga, for instance, took it to extremes.
Lady Gaga and the whole movement that followed in her wake would never have happened if not for Christina and the groundwork that she laid before Gaga arrived on the scene.
There are too many comparisons to list in a single post, but a few that most of the Gaga generation are unaware of:
RedOne remixing Candyman for RCA/Christina's release of "Dance Vault Mixes" in 2007, only for him to become a major staple on Lady Gaga's debut.
Lady Gaga using one of Christina's old vocal coaches.
Lady Gaga being into Andy Warhol, Pop art, etc. just like Christina who in 2004 picked The Andy Warhol Museum as the location for an interview. Christina has also purchased a lot of subversive artwork over the years, like in 2006 when she paid for the Banksy lesbian Queen Elizabeth art where she is depicted straddling another woman. Now Lady Gaga walks around with shocking artwork on T-shirts etc.
Quote:

“From one icon to another — that’s Christina Aguilera posing in front of Andy Warhol’s silkscreen portraits of Marilyn Monroe last Monday. Aguilera, in Pittsburgh to visit her family, was asked to pick a location where she could be interviewed for the September 2004 cover of Jane magazine. She chose The Andy Warhol Museum, which she toured with Esther Haynes, the senior editor at Jane. Since the museum is closed to mere mortals on Monday, she managed to walk and chat without interruption.“

Christina saying that she wants to bring back the "art" in artist in a 2004 interview. That eventually became Gaga's mantra.
On and on...
