Maybe because album drops later she chooses other promo slots.

I don't expect much promo this time. Maybe few in the release week and probably another 1-2 performances later.

TBH AMAs are more her league. At the VMAs she usually gets overshadowed by the likes of Gaga & Miley. We all know 'Sober' was the best performance at the VMAs 2009 but everyone seemed to talk about Gaga's bloody 'Paparazzi' performance.

Yep... I was surprised she didn't get talked about at the 2009 VMAs. But at least she got her limelight at 2010 Grammys.

Yeah and let's be real: the Sober routine is the most challanging and impressive thing she's ever done visually and physically. It should have got the same response as the AMAs '12.

^ Agreed. I always thought the "Sober" routine was EXTREMELY underrated. When I saw her on The Truth About Love Tour, it was one of my favorite performances, even though it wasn't as challenging as when she did it on the Funhouse Tour. Regardless, that's amazing. That woman's physique is INCREDIBLE.

^ i know, i say this all the time, but she shouldn't have used the chandelier thing for sober. another song deserved to be performed acrobatically. i can see where did the beat go? being performed in that thing. sober had its turn and it was amazing!

Yeah. The TTALT Sober performance was spectacular but it was not the hightlight of the show. It felt out of place. Try fit in really well, with the fetish intro and the black ropes - it had meaning while Sober was just 3 shirtless guys twirling on a giant ball.

Yeah, I wish she would've done "Sober" like she did on The Funhouse Tour and added another song from the new album into the album to do acrobatically. Honestly, "Where Did the Beat Go?" would be perfect for that routine. There were so many good songs that she paid dust on that tour from The Truth About Love. I wish she would've done some of the bonus tracks for at least one show, just so we'd have video of her doing them live. The only one she didn't ignore was "Chaos & Piss", but we only got an instrumental there.

Agreed! No, I wish I would've seen her on The Funhouse Tour, but I kind of ignored her existence until I heard "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)." I watch the Funhouse Tour DVD all the time on my iPod, though, and it's incredible. It also made me realize how bad I want an acoustic concert from her one of these days. I know she did that breast cancer benefit thing last year, but seriously... She could do acoustic arrangements for all of her hit singles (even "So What", "Raise Your Glass", "Blow Me", etc. could get guitar/vocal arrangements that would sound awesome) and then do all of the fan favorite album tracks, too. Plus, I'd seriously kill for acoustic performances of so many of her songs, especially "Please Don't Leave Me" and "Blow Me."

Blow Me would sound weird acoustically. The one song I really want her to bring back is Stupid Girls. That's so much fun to dance to and it has still a strong message, more relevant than Dear Mr. President imo.

So, if you could choose the 1-2-3 punch from each tour what would it be? Which set is your favorite?

Mine probably is:

TTT: Definitely the acoustic set. I mean, My Vietnam/Misery/Eventually and a Janis medley?
INDT: This tour didn't really have sets but U+Ur Hand/18 Wheeler/DLMGM/Leave Me Alone. This was so much fun, especially the dork dance.
FHT: Definitely Babe I'm Gonna Leave You/Sober/Bohemian Rhapsody/Funhouse. That terrifying routine, the most ambitious cover of all time, and that choreography during the bridge of FH. Also, amazing costume changes! (Babe I'm Gonna Leave You is not in this set, but it belongs to these 3 in the level of geniusness.)
SCT: Definitely the beginning. That intro, GTPS mixed with Funhouse, then Ave Mary A with the operatic part at the start.
TTALT: Try/Wicked Game/JGMAR. Although I've never liked that WG cover, the other two makes up for it. Especially when everyone was singing JGMAR so loud.

oh no. the trapeze act was perfect for the funhouse tour. it was already weird enough that she did the same gita silk acrobatic (i know, i know, she did it for the new crowd, but i would have preferred only her and a piano).

and i agree with alrightsir: sober felt totally out of place.
