I am all for Christina taking her time to release the best album she can, BUT... I don't feel it's fair to say that the Fighters are an impatient fanbase. I mean.. we usually have to wait an average of 4 years between each era, which is a LONG time compared to every other pop artist. Plus, I feel like POP years are like dog years.. 1=7.

That's very true. It's all relative per artist. It's obvious the longer Christina takes to get re-inspired, the better the album will be in the long run. I think that was the biggest mistake she made with Lotus.

Also add in the fact that her recent eras only lasted a short time, she refuses to tour for her fans while traveling around the world to perform private shows for billionaires/corporations, etc. We are the most patient fan base.
