Uhmmm... Someone simply stated that "Dangerous" should have made the final track list of Circus and then Anticipating had to come along and derail the discussion. Maybe the Circus haters just need to keep their contempt for the album to themselves and stop raining on everyone else's parade.

Well it had the disadvantage of coming just a year after Blackout (my favorite Britney album), it was the only time I didn't need a new Britney album because I was still getting my life to Blackout. Majority of it is filler. The filler songs are listenable, which is why I rate it above Britney Jean but I don't use them ever. The only great songs are the singles, the rest is just okay.

I think that might be one of the reasons why they don't like Circus that much. It was too close to Blackout. The decline in quality was big. Maybe they were just disappointed that Circus was only half as great as Blackout.

Femme Fatale is eons better than Circus, which is why the Fatte Tamale Tour was so much fun. Say what you want about her stiff ass choreography, but the setlist was really upbeat, and the stage/effects really helped amplify the club-like atmosphere it was trying to convey.

I think I prefer all her pre-Blackout albums over Circus, even BOMT (I love it, dont get the hate). But Circus still has so many jams on it like Phonograpy (this is one of her best album tracks), Blur and Amnesia.

Were you here in 2011? Everyone was praising Circus like it was Blackout or ITZ. FF was very hated in this base until BJ happened. They started to praise more and more and younger Stans come to hate Circus.

Please, take away the commercial underperformances, slim physique, and better wardrobe designers, and the eras really weren't all that different.

People in here love to make it sound like it was the best time to ever be a Britney stan, but she got shat upon SOOOOOO much at the time, by the public and her own fans. Her performances at the time didn't get 1/10th as much adoration as they do now, and even the album wasn't seen as anything special aside from the singles.

Also, the "fat" claims people love to exaggerate about FF existed just as much during Circus. Don't y'all remember that deleted Family Guy skit where she was obese, in a wheelchair, and ended up rolling off the stage into a flaming stereo? That came out like 3 weeks after the Circus album.

Femme Fatale is a fantastic album, but medication has nothing to do with Britney wanting nothing to do with that era. Why would she care about something where her name only appears on the cover and on a Japanese Bonus Track. That would be like expecting an author to care about a book that has her name on the cover, but that she only wrote the epilogue for. At least the people who like Circus appreciate an album that Britney actually was involved with and clearly liked, while people who like Femme Fatale are willing to sacrifice Britney's happiness and involvement for some cute bops.

She has one writing credit on Femme Fatale and three on Circus. Let's not act like it was an ITZ type situation. She released the lead single like six months after she was taken to the psych ward. I doubt Britney was eager to jump back into a new era.
