I would like a storyline where the evil team appears as though they want to cause havoc & mayhem but in the end ARE the good guys. It is you and those you have been following who deceived you, that are bad. And after this realization the character joins the other side and their 'mission'.
Why? They make it seem as though they are trying to "destroy the world" or whatever the usual agenda is, but in all actuality they arent? I think it'd be a nice twist. Whoever your "friend" is had an agenda when telling you to "do this" etc. Perhaps they joined another group with an actual evil plan?
In life, friends go down different paths and part ways. Perhaps the good neighbor sis went to the darkside?

At the gts you should look for different pokemons actually. I got an honchkraw for a pidgey but for a starter they want diancie or mew.and stuff lol
Honestly like 10 years ago XY's post game would have been enough for me
I would only catch random Pokemon (and well do the BF in Emerald i guess) and teach them whatever and had fun using them in NPC battles
