People saying Britney are either unaware or just saying her because she's their fave. Especially if they don't include Janet and Madonna with her, because Britney's entire career and image are almost completely just a compilation of Janet and Madonna inspiration.

People mentioning Janet She may have influenced Britney, but she's not among the most influential.

Gaga has eclipsed Britney in every department (singles, tours, acclaim, awards, etc) but album sales and cultural impact (she's not far off).

Gaga hasn't eclipsed Britney in singles. And Gaga has yet to have a song as acclaimed as Toxic.

Madonna, Whitney, Janet.
Kinda had a hard time deciding if Janet or Mariah should be third.

If we're not going way back to the Barbra, Cher, Tina days... then Madonna, Mariah and Janet by far. Not people seriously mentioning Britney
Mariah is more influential when it comes to vocals and music trends

More people have cited Whitney as an influence.
I should throw Janet there since she's inspired lots of females including my main fave so not that I think about it, it could go like this.
Madonna
Whitney
Janet/Mariah
Britney has influence the current generation along with Bey but the first three have influenced more.

I mean, Britney had a huge amount of copycats and anti versions worldwide, even in East Asia. Even now, there are a large amount of girls that are influenced by her. No shade, but she was much more global than Janet and Mariah.

I'm talking about impact/influence. Gaga has poker face, bad romance, just dance, telephone, and born this way but those songs are not even near BOMT, oops, slave, toxic, Everytime, .... Impact/influence.

Why do some people even mention the MJ's sister? No one remembers her. She has no iconic song/video/performance/outfits to leave any impact/influence now. Even USA stopped using ha a long time ago
