That lyric would normally be cringe-worthy but she kiiinda pulls it off better than anyone I've ever heard.
Her lyricism is just so defined and authentic? It's refreshing for modern country.

True but some songs on Pageant Material like Cup of Tea and Somebody to Love sound like watered down versions of Follow Your Arrow. Still an good album though, the melodies are so sweet.

Eh, I think Biscuits is the most Follow Your Arrow-esque.
In that one it's almost undeniable.

The others you listed have unique qualities of their own that differentiate them. Yeah, the subject matter might overlap (although that's kinda her thing and part of what makes her so great), but they (CoT, StL) are whimsical and varied enough that they definitely stand strongly on their own.

I listened to High Time and reminded me of Natalia's Outta Time



Also she sounds like a Twangy Lana especially the chorus. i could imagine her singing this

I can only stand her voice for so long. I loved her EP, it was perfectly short and sweet. Her album on the other hand, I just can't listen to it from start to finish (also cannot deal with corny titles like Lyin King or w/e. I find her voice to be too uninteresting and annoying when listened to extended periods of time - it's kind of grating. But that's just me. The Worst >

Lyin' King is kind of a silly title but it's not as if our own faves don't have corny song titles from time to time?
Like, think of all the Kesha song titles that out-corny "Lyin' King"
