They will. Even if she's good (Paris Hilton in Repo!), some will. And they'll definitely be extra critical when they wouldn't be on a non-pop star. It's not going to be pretty. She'd have to REALLY kill it for no one to have a go at her.
That said, I liked what I've seen of Gaga in Machete Kills, and she's so theatrical that I THINK this has a high probability of paying off in her favor, especially if she's a supporting lead and not
the main character. Her character also needs to be vastly different than any Lange role to avoid comparisons there, which Gaga will unquestionably lose.
As for outfits, I have no doubt they'll have a certain amount of eccentricness/extravagance to them. It's Gaga on a Ryan Murphy show. They have to do that for her debut, but no WAY are these going to be on the level of her usual stuff. She's playing a role, not herself
It would look like one of Gagas surreal 1 hour music videos and not a show that is somewhat realistic.
