Gaga needs to pick up the phone and call Azealia to get on a huge song with a horn section to deliver a dope verse and incredible vocals. I mean Azealia composed the horns at the end of Miss Camaraderie and has repeatedly said how much she listened to classical and jazz music growing up.

If there's any way to bring jazz into her mainstream music without making her fans mad and while making it sound fresh and great, Azealia is the person to call. And maybe Mark Ronson.

Paparazzi leading into DWUW was one of the best things about the tour. I hope she creates a song that I love as much as those two songs on the next album.

But why jump on the horn bandwagon That would just be weird. I mean if by all means it works, then go for it. But I'm not sure sure i'd be enticed by that.

If we can get another midtempo on the level of I Like It Rough, Paparazzi, So Happy I Could Die, Yoü & I or Do What U Want on LG5, I'll be so glad. And I agree Paparazzi into DWUW was a genius setlist choice at artRAVE. She paid my favourite song of all time absolute dust though which pissed me off a little. But eh. She's probably bitter about the song.

I have an awesome DWUW tour performance idea which I might post later if I can be bothered to type. I'm tired and ratty.

Have you heard the song I'm referring to? It's not horns ala Shake It Off or any of the other recent hits that have horns. It's far jazzier and I think we're kidding ourselves if we think Cheek to Cheek won't have at least some influence on Gaga's pop music.

I wouldn't want it shoehorned in but it would be a great way to make it less annoying for fans who haven't liked Cheek to Cheek (I'm not one of them, I love the album).

The message of Born This Way is, although the lyrics are quite simple, it is quite complex in the message. But I always feel in music it's best to say it simply. And I wanted the song to be really direct; I didn't want to sugarcoat it with metaphors, I didn't want to...um.. sort of, poetic wizardry with the lyrics, I wanted to say exactly what I mean.

I have, but I thought you meant her incorporating it like Jason Derulo did. I know you gave Azealia as an example, but that song has it just at the outro which sounds really nice. But I thought you were saying that she should use it like how those dance breaks were in We Found Love and such, just with the horns instead.

But yeah I definitely think she will bring over what she learned from C2C into LG5

Sorry, I see I came off so rude reading back on it. It's nothing personal I'm just tired. I see why you got your wires crossed.

Yeah it worked really nicely in MC in the outro, and I feel like Gaga could use it throughout a more rock influenced song (like live versions of TEOG, or the live versions of Beyoncé's Haunted and Smash Into You, although they are not so rock influenced) to add a more organic feel. Horns are so versatile and they really add an extra layer to songs, and can be done much better than in Hair and The Edge of Glory where they were very obvious and jarring, almost - but so was Born This Way as a whole so I expect that was deliberate.

I always cringe when people say that. People would get over it I'm sure. I want to see it and the controversy would have paid off at the time tbh. She could have just followed up with a softer era for Gypsy, closed the era with Venus/Sexxx Dreams and then done Cheek to Cheek.

She would have survived and Do What U Want was practically begging to be a monster hit. UK radio hadn't backed her like that since Telephone. Her best song deserved more.

I think people become increasingly less surprised with what they see in the media. So yes, I think they would. What that says about the world, I don't know, but that's what I believe.

I'd like to say that I find rape a very serious issue so I'm not making light of it at all. I'n just saying the world would get over it and at the end of the day, it is just a metaphor. Dr. Kelly is the industry, and Gaga plays herself. She kind of was used, her body battered and used for the pleasure of her manager (fiscally rather than sexually, of course) and she was tossed aside.

Yeah.

And if she didn't release the DWUW video along the single for AP, I don't think she will release it in the future just for shock value. She worked hard to reshape her image with the GP in the last few months.

It STILL makes me upset that we never got a music video for either DWUW or Venus. Actually, I'm more upset we never got a proper full length video for Venus (Tho G.U.Y did make up for it a little).

Although I'm sure they had shot enough footage for them to edit out those...specific scenes
