Uhh. We've had mega #1s like Blurred Lines (took me like 2 minutes to remember the song title) and now they're forgotten. Chart hits are nice to have. Would I like Beyoncé to have more, yes. But would I trade that for skyscrapers being inspired by her? Nah. Sorry Kworb.
Ya'll have such a warped perception of music. Iconic careers do more for the artist than hit songs. People will remember Girls Wanna Have Fun more than any Madead song, but most won't be able to tell you who sang it.
Rihanna's Umbrella is featured on the first book for adults by the legendary JK Rowling, the biggest and most iconic hit of this millenium is quoted several times during the novel "The Casual Vacancy".
A group of suits are waiting in the conference room. Checking their watches. Uncomfortable silence. Lady Gaga is late.
"Guys, don't worry" one of them says. "She said this album is more pop, less art. I think it's going to be fine."
45 minutes later, Lady Gaga arrives in a leather poncho. "A girl is never late, fellas. The meeting usually comes early!" she announces in a fast-talking Mae West voice, thinking she's cleverly old school showbiz.
"As promised, I have a title for you. And as promised, it puts the focus back on pop."
The suits lean forward in their seats, eager, hopeful.
Lady Gaga puts her hands on her hips. Holds the moment. Relishes the suspense. "Without further ado, the title of my new album is POPICASSO! The pop comes first, but the overlapping P shows how pop will always be connected to art."
The suits nod politely. Their lips smile, but their eyes do not. In their minds, they're already thinking of the letter they'll be drafting to inform her that they're letting her go.

Is that what we want our faves to aspire to?
Exactly. Like I said, it's nice that Rihanna has so many hit singles all over the world but that becomes obsolete when her most recent singles flop causing her label to scrap her album.
You know Beyoncé would never have that problem.
I definitely think there's more to it than what meets the eye. I feel like the album has changed pace time and time again and Rih can't decide what she wants it to be.
In the television sitcom Friends, there are close to no outside ethnic groups throughout the entire series. However when different races do enter into their cultural “circle”, they are challenged, feared, or disliked by the regular cast of characters. Throughout the entire series of Friends, not one minority ever lasts for more than a few episodes. Friends does seem to keep that tight knit, white, middle-class status throughout the ten seasons and because of these examples, can be viewed as containing a racist perspective.
nicolita, why are u always so obsessed with cancer ******** like dis?
i dont care how successful it was, friends is one of the worst sitcoms ever... only people who think they have a sense of humor like dat shallow and boring piece of **** of a show

And just as likely: Her team can tell by the singles reception that the album would be in hot water. so they're scrapping it.
