This may come off as funny/shady but Rihanna's entire career has been a RISK at literally every turn. People tend to write her off almost every era for one reason or another
2005-2006
One hit wonder ,Clone of another artist, won't last long.
Yet she avoided being dropped, and recorded her second album so quickly and there was no guarantee shed catch on(See Rita Ora)
2007-2009
Pop Puppet, only sings songs given to her, she's only as good as her last hit.
She financed her own music video for Disturbia because her label didn't believe in the song.
She was bankrupt in 2009 and had to work hard to get herself out of the whole. Her label spent very little money on her up to this point contrary to popular belief.
2010- now
She won't last a whole 10 years, she's too weak as an artist, and is all about sales , can't take a break or she'll flop.
Yet she has made songs that tackle real issues (Man Down, WFL, Russian Roulette). She has also taken a year off without an album release which was a risk for her usual stategy.
She's not the riskiest but you can't tell me this girl hasn't basically been on BORROWED TIME since 2005.
