I'm sure some of her singles are very close to Gold certifcation!
I was surprised when "3" got one.

Japan But it topped 15 million copies.

They obviously meant 150,000 though. Unless it actually sold 15 million. Hew else?

Anyway, I'm doing some research and I think she might be among the Top 10 best selling international females in Germany (albums-wise).
I know the following have outsold her
Madonna
Celine Dion
Mariah Carey
Whitney Houston
P!nk
Tina Turner
Barbra Streisand?
Enya
I don't think anyone else has? Don't take my word on it though, I may be missing someone.

Yeah, I feel like Womanizer and Hold It Against Me will get certified next as they did very well on the digital chart.

Shakira maybe? She sold 2,5M albums, I think! Maybe even 3M
And she's still great amount of singles there unlike Britney...

Shakira's certified units are 1.55 million, I can't find any estimations but she's probably around 2.5 million (or maybe a bit higher). Britney is closer to 3 million (2.25 million certified). Though it's not impossible, I don't think she's outsold Britney tbh.
Britney might be Top 10 after all. That's amazing.

Might have crossed 30,000 in Australia, unfortunately it didn't make the Top 50 this week but it's probably not too far away.

Pies Descalzos (50.000)
Donde Estan los ladrones (80.000)
Laundry Service: 5× Gold (1.350,000)
Fijación Oral, Vol. 1: 3× Gold (350,000)
Fijación Oral, Vol. 2: 3× Gold (450,000)
She Wolf: Gold (150,000)
Sale el Sol: Platinum (250,000)
Self-Titled: (80.000)
Total: 2,760,000
But I think she is #10 although Anastacia sold over 3M albums, but her singles sales aren't big so she's not the threat.

Laundry Service is certified 5x Gold for 750,000 not 1,350,000. I'd be really shocked if it sold 1 million tbh.
So as far as albums go, she should be Top 10 in the following markets (international females):
France
Germany
Japan
Brazil
And Top 15 in the UK and Top 10 in Canada/United States for overall females. 7 of the biggest music markets. The slayage.
Is South Korea still the 10th biggest market? She's for sure Top 5 there with two of the biggest selling albums of all time. Only Mariah and Celine are bigger. Probably Madonna too.

#9 for albums
#6 for record sales
I wish they'd update ITZ's certification. Blackout isn't too far away from Gold (20K away)

I had weekly sales for OIDIA. I can't find it now, but I remember it sold 210k+ by 2001.

OIDIA sold 166,247 on the year-end chart and here's what Kyle-x and I have for the 2001 sales up until September: 139,403.
= 305,650
The last month we could track was the September (2001) chart and it sold 4,704 that month (the rest of 2001 isn't archived unfortunately). 350,000 sold to date is definitely a good estimate.

In the Zone sold 58,880 on the 2004 year-end and 71,145 on the 2003 year-end = 130,025. Can't find the archives for the first few months of 2005 but it must be around 150,000 to date.
South Korea:
...Baby One More Time: 150,000
Oops!... I Did It Again: 350,000
Britney: 350,000
In The Zone: 150,000
Greatest Hits: My Prerogative: 100,000
B In The Mix: 5,000
Blackout: 10,000
Circus: 25,000
Femme Fatale: 5,000
Such a shame the album market went to crap after the mid 2000s.

ITZ should have sold a lot more considering she promoted there.
BOMT was not that popular there?

That's when the market started to go downhill. It debuted at #1.
