Just a quick observation. The title of this song is called "Strange Fruit", which originally belonged to a poem written by a white man who traveled from Europe to the Southern part of North America and witnessed lynchings of black people. This song is about sex. In the video there is him in his slight nakedness around and with an abundance of trees and at one point it seems as if somebody is hanging from a tree... yet the song is about sex... The title (to me) seems eerily disrespectful.

the problem with us as Nubian Americans is that we hold nothing sacred this is the reason why we're constantly disrespected by our enemies. I understand the Adam and Eve angle that he tried to portray in this video if he knew anything about his history he would have more respect and wouldn't want the song to be named that simply because it would clash with a very important song that should stand the test of time. Elijah Blake you need to understand that there is a song with the same title and we as blacks need to respect that I expect this type of thing form every other race but not blacks.

If you're an educated person, then you would know that the name of this song is HIGHLY inappropriate. The term "Strange Fruit" was used to describe the bodies of hanging, lynched black people during the Jim Crow Era. Whether the song is good or not is irrelevant. The fact that the name of the song is "Strange Fruit" is disrespectful. Although he is referring to adam and eve and the serpent and the apple...the song could've been named something else.

Ive spoken to her and I think she's just confused and don't know what to do at this point. When she's confident and ready to drop, she'll release it. Id take her word over the criticism of someone who's highest level of Education is a High School diploma.

No point in bringing Angel into this. She's literally a vegetable as of June 2015. No shade, just my opinion. R8 would've been a smash had she gone out and made more Lov7 songs, songs similar to Lean On and Yoga, and actually cared about eras for once. BBHMM could've been a big hit too, but she's dumb...and possibly a puppet. No shade, just my opinion. I like Rihanna and plenty of her songs a lot. I used to semi-stan back in 2014.

If she made trendy songs in the first place, I wouldnt call her out on it. Plus, BBHMM is pretty trendy. The fact is that it's been five months since the lead single, and theres still no R8, and what I've said is that this is due to her most likely being a puppet because she's been one since her debut, you know... Again, I like Rihanna lol. Plus, Yoga and Lov7 Song aren't trendy in my opinion. Leon On, yeah, but good music is good music and that's what Rihanna is known for.
