I woke up thinking Wimbledon was this weekend but I forgot they added an extra week.
Anyways, like every tournament, Serena is the fave. Anything other than the Venus Rosewater Dish at the end of the tournament will be a disappointment for Serena. She needs to flatten out her groundies (something Patrick got rid of thankfully for the other surfaces but unfortunately for grass) and start serving like she did in 2010/2010. She wins this and she wins the Serena Slam for the second time in her career 12 years apart. If she pulls off the CYGS (which would be possible since she's now won the U.S. open 3 times in a row) then that would be an amazing 5 grand slams In a row.
Players I think will do well at Wimbledon are: Kvitova (even though her year sucks so far), Venus, Lisicki (maybe. Wouldn't mind her losing early because of what she did to shvedova last year), and Pliskova. Someone said that Azarenka was going to win? LOL with that reaggrevated foot injury I don't see her doing well.
I feel bad for Sascha. This is the first year he's ever experienced so many losses and any loss to Sharapova period. Poor ha.
I don't see Pliskova doing well. Yeah she has big strokes and a big serve which could do a LOT of damage but she's as slow as molasses. Now way she makes it past R4. She will bow out to the first decently playing opponent.
IF Serena wins Wimbledon she's winning the CYGS. Because apart from injuries I don't see anyone beating her at the U.S. Open, no one is good enough

I guess I should clarify. It sucks when you look at who she's lost to and you know what level she's capable of. This year is not even close to her 2011
