Except for a handful of tracks Rebel Heart is actually an extrremely mature album so I don't understand your theory . Also, you are not a huge fan if you truly agree with most of those comment.

I agree. It's so try hard it almost ridiculous. I don't care how old she is, there are plenty of people her age who still carry cool way better than her without acting like a prepubescent teenager. And THAT is the problem. She's forever trying to keep up with the young folk instead continuing to carve out her own niche and thrive from that.

Do you really think she cares if the publicity is positive or negative? Furthermore, the "criticism" isn't new. It's the same reductive "Give up, Madonna" comments from over 20 years ago. Just like Britney Spears gets the same reductive "Will she sing live or lipsync" comments from over 15 years ago. The ironic take away here is that everyone cares even less about the same reductive opinions from bloggers or Twitter users than they do Madonna, at this point.

I agree tbh. There isn't a whole lot of class to this, it just seems like she's trying to hop on trends, being a follower instead of a trend setter. It comes off as her trying too hard to be cool and young. I thought Ghosttown was great....this is not.
I'm not a fan of her music and personality but that never stopped me from given her just praise and respect. I hardly have ever said one bad thing about Madonna. She IS a shell of her former self. She was better when she was younger because she wasn't trying to keep up with anyone or conform to some certain standard of what's in ATM.
And no matter how I felt about her music, I always respected her for that. I don't have to be a fan to be critical of her. It is what it is.
