But my college roommate, who knows I like Beyoncé, put Love On Top on a party playlist with Pitbull songs and all that and before the party I was like....ehh...plz don't kill the party vibe just to appease me. I'll be embarrassed once everyone's like "wtf. I was dancing?"
He was like "nah, don't worry about it." I let it go. Then fast forward, the song comes on after some dance song and then to my surprise a few people start singing the first verse. Then by the chorus everyone's singing along. f.
So yeah, it's not a global hitt!! or w/e, but it's in the public consciousness. If only for the fact that it's linked to Bey (iconic) pregnancy, people just remember it. Idk. I can't explain it either.
