Oh man, I love this series to so much. A sci-fi show hasn't pulled me in like this since LOST... I love the interactions between all of them and I love how the focus is on, well, humanity and how we are similar and different from one another. A lot of sci-fi stuff just jumps right into weird **** (which, believe me, I don't mind), but to see them lay down the groundwork like this.... I'm so excited to learn more and see where the series goes. I know I am going to die whenever one of the Sense8 dies.
The Nomi/Lito scene was the most beautiful and well done of the entire series so far tbh. Really, all of the scenes where the Sense8 interact (and help) one another are amazing, but the Nomi/Lito scene (w/o getting too much into it) was very powerful and it was amazing seeing two members of the LGBT community comforting one another.
Nomi's girlfriend is absolutely gorgeous btw. Love their dynamic together even tho the "My significant other saved/protected me" felt very weird at first, but I don't mind it now.
Sun is a walking goddess tbh. I think the aforementioned characters + Kala are my favorites.
why is kala ( that is her name) the least favorite. it it her storyline or how relatable she is?
What storyline? She was nothing more than an accessory for the storyline of men, both her fiance and Wolfgang. She could have been replaced by a statue of a woman with a Post-it note containing the tiny bit of personal details we know about her stuck to it.
I'm in episode three and I still don't understand what this show is about, what is the plot wtf someone clue me in
8 strangers from around the globe wake up one day to find that, despite having never met before, they are all connected mentally, emotionally, and psychologically. Season 1 is basically them figuring out their newfound connection and using it to help each other with their personal problems. There's a subplot about a mysterious man who is also a "sensate" called Whispers, but that doesn't come into play until later on in the season and is really a footnote in the grand scheme of things.
Alright but they all seem to think these visions of other people and feelings are hallucinations? Well, except for Will.
And Lito seems connected to no one
And IDG why some connect with ones but not others for example Sun and Capheus and Kala and Wolfgang, or Will and Riley?
But Not Capheus and Will, Kala and Nomi? etc?
Well, that would be the natural human reaction when someone appears before you out of nowhere--that they must be a hallucination. And the connections haven't been fully explained yet, but I like to think of it like a group of friends--some friends you just naturally gravitate toward a lot more than others. Other than that, I see it as connecting at times (and with people) they have an emotional or psychological investment in, like Capheus idolizes Van Damme, and Sun is his real-life Van Damme. And Kala wants very much to get away from tradition and the limited structure of her life, being forced to do things all in the name of "tradition," and bad boy Wolfgang represents that freedom to be wild and crazy (and sexual).

Sweetie. There are 8 people whose lives you are learning about, and they suddenly found themselves all psychically connected and are learning how to deal with that.
That's it. It's not hard. I don't understand how people can't understand????
