I've always irrationally resented This Kiss a lil for kinda killing the whole Kiss era's momentum and potentially Carly's entire mainstream pop career but it's definitely one of the album's best tracks.
I actually prefer the Kiss version of TLB, the lyrics are stupid but they fit well into the album, and the production of the song (and the whole album) is on point.

It's her best song, the chorus and verses are literally perfect, I think it was too close to CMM but it definitely deserved better.

Actually, let me amend this a bit. I use "whom" when I'm trying to look like I know what I'm talking about. In those situations, I also like to use traditional British English spellings. Words like "centre" just ooze ethos.
