They can identify, sure. Race is a social construct, racism is based on the contrary idea, that race has a biological determinant, that people from different races are biologically different to your own.

No offense, but do you have ANY idea of the hardships transgender people have to go through? It's not about how society perceives them, it's about what you are. If you're a female, but you have the body of a male, then you have the right to be who you are (a female), even though society might not treat you like other females. If you're white, but you have the body of a black person, then you have the right to be who you are (a white person), even though society might not treat you like other white people.

People from different races are biologically different, though. Like, black people have more melanin than other races. That's not to do with racism unless you're saying these differences make one race superior to another.

How do you know that? Especially if she's been doing this since 1995, that means she was 18 at the time. I honestly don't think all her advocating and stuff is all one big charade, especially when she'd likely gain more for being a white ally than a black woman "living the plight". Being transracial is completely different from being transgender, because unlike gender being an actual spectrum - being black is not treated as a SPECTRUM in society. If you are anything but white, you are subject to a whole host of active and passive social prejudice and applying some bronzer to your skin doesn't give you the right to co-op a racial identity, ESPECIALLY when that racial identity is based on stereotypes.

STOP. It doesn't discredit the work she's done as an ally, but she is NOT black and pretending to be black is an INSULT to the very people whose rights she is fighting to protect.
