Ugh the instrumental is quite good. The lyrics are fine - standard empowerment stuff. It just doesn't stand out from the album and especially not from the singles

Part of Me is hated because it is bland, boring, sounds like a Kelly Clarkson reject, and has some of the worst lyrics that Bonnie Katy has ever wrote. Its also a known fact that she changed the lyrics of the bridge to capitalize on her divorce, plus its her most forgotten, worst-selling, and shortest-reigning #1.

ANYWAY, yes I stan for This Is How We Do because it's not trying to be anything other than a fun summer bop and it is just that. Whereas Who Am I Writing This Trash For is clearly trying to be the ~meaningful;--)&&interesting:--o~ song on the record and the production is grating and horrid, the vocals are some of her worst ever and the lyrics aren't very good either.

Literally the only people I ever see hating on TIHWD are the usual suspects who hate on everything Katy does, and then Katy stans who are pressed it was released over LL and WoA. The majority of casual fans and non-fans seem to agree that it's overhated.
