Yeah, it's such a nuisance. I emailed Minus regarding the issue, and they told me that they had "temporarily" disabled hot linking, which is probably why some image links take you to a webpage, rather than the image directly.
If you have Imgur open in another tab, you can just quickly click + drag an image over into that tab, and it will upload in seconds. It's a little less time consuming than saving all your gifs again.
