It's understandable. I mean, according to some, nobody cared about Madonna before MDNA.
LMAOOO no one knows Mariah's discography. And Madonna's music is not dated at all. Critics agree with me. Sure, a lot of it sounds like it was produce in the 80s or 90s, but it still sounds good. It's not like Janet's Rhythm Nation singles that sound like an unlistenable new jack swing mess. Or "If", buried under a cluster**** of production. Songs like "Like a Virgin", "Like a Prayer", "Vogue" and "Frozen" still sound good despite obviously being a product of their time.
