At the end of the day I feel like she pales in comparison to most of the vocal legends of yesteryear... You can bring up grammys, critical acclaim, her net worth, commercial success, wtf ever. That's irrelevant and will not change my opinion. It's not me hating or trying to "underrate" her whatsoever because I still think she's a fantastic vocalist, arguably the best of her generation, but I just feel like certain other singers are more vocally talented than her no matter how less successful they may be.
It's not the 80's/70's though no one really has voices like that as of now. Even if they do they aren't as popular as Bey so... I think people appreciate Beyonce so much because she isn't just vocals she's the entire package.
They just did a countdown for Natasha her music, On TV the other day. At least she's a legend in the UK. And Bridget Mendler's Ready or Not was compared to These Words in many publications despite the song being 10 years old. Jason won't be a legend, icon, remembered anywhere. I mean no one is singing his song on X Factor Indonesia (or any X Factor for that matter)
