Hm, I just listened to Biscuits. She's never really done much for me.
I'm not sure what it is. Her songs sound overproduced and homogeneous. But also, something about her lyrics is off. She's a clever lyricist, but it feels like her themes and insights all end up being dumbed down to "live the great country life."
Hmm, I kinda get what you're saying. But her first album's theme was supposed to be like that. It's kinda relate-able, imo!

Now that the Katy stan with the Phoebe avi is not here I must say it took me a while to get into Platinum but it is a good album but yeah I miss her Gunpowder & Lead days
