I was in 4th grade and we were about to take a spelling test and that's when another teach came into the room and told my teach what had just happened. At that point they moved a lot of the classes to the library and we were watching it on TV and they announced schools were closing early.

I use to to live really close to my school so after my sister picked me up, we turned the tv on as soon as we got in a about 10 seconds later we saw the 2nd plane crash.

One of the teacher's sons worked in the building and died.

I was in religious class, in primary school (elementary school, for you Yanks) and the teacher stepped outside to take a call, came back inside and kept teaching like nothing happened but at the end of class said, "Pray for the United States." 9 year old me is thinking "What?" It's only when I got home I saw what happened, and it turns out t he teacher's brother worked in the World Trade Center and didnt make it out.
