The number one song in Mariah's discography isn't going to be some random niche song a couple of Lambs are obsessed with though. By the time you get to the Top 10, everything is a 10/10. The #1 song is supposed to be a statement, it should be something that embodies everything that is Mariah Carey—her voice, her talent, her ability, her impact. Fantasy is objectively that song.

Fantasy isn't my personal #1 song (hello My All/Breakdown/Melt Away), but it's not like Fantasy doesn't deserve that top spot so idk why y'all are so up in arms. Honestly what's more important isn't the #1 song, it's the climb. Which is why y'all should be more concerned about the obscene amount of MIAMFLTH songs remaining.
