Although I think a lot of lyrics can be elevated by accompanying audio. If I were to
just submit the lyrics with no audio, I don't think it would've done well, mostly because we're at a place in the game where you really have to bring it, and I don't think lyrics like "When the moonlight falls and the music calls, we'll keep on dancing on to the midnight song" would cut it.
That's more of a testament to the strength of the writers left than me being unsure of myself, though.
On a semi-related note: I'm honestly scared to even submit a fun song at this point.
