I think the album still sounds promising. I personally like everything we've heard. FFS was her once again changing it up. BBHMM is classic Rihanna but it's kinda sleek in its production and raw and unfiltered In every other aspect.
I believe AO isn't a bad song but it's not single material. Higher sounds the most promising to me, soulful, vintage feel, and like it may have replay value. James Joint is so mellow and vibey, and kinda more urban than I was expecting.
Kiss It Better sounds like it's Pop Rock with a little twist and I'm anxious to hear it in full.
Idk about Promised, it sounded Ok. Nothing that's a standout.
Overall not a bad collection of songs and they seem to be a further evolution for Rihanna.
