The Beautiful Ones / Babydoll / Breakdown / Thirsty / Insperable / Crybaby / Just to Hold You Once Again / The Wind are some of the realest and most beautiful songs in her entire catalog. For your own sake, I would like to advise you to try to open up to this song just once more and to give it another chance. Use loudspeakers, turn the volume up, play The Art of Letting Go and do nothing but listen and think of the very thing that consumes you. I really hope that the song will get to you and help you to really let loose and let go. „There is an art to learning how to let go of things in your life, people in your life, things that are not good for you,“ Mariah said in an interview, and I couldn't agree more thinking of how The Art of Letting Go truly captures the moment of finally being able to let go of something or someone and freeing yourself after all.
The Art of Letting Go - I expected this to be out long ago (lol). I like what she tried to do with the production but the song is underwhelming, to say the least.
Circles - is in my top5 EOM tracks.
Long Ago - a bop. I believe this was the first glimpse of a sound she would come to perfect later.
Oh Santa! - is a cute song. I don't think it should be in her hot 100 though.
When You Believe - *sigh* I want to love this song but I never have. I kind of liked it when I was little because of the movie but it just falls flat for me now. A beautiful song but the vocal arrangement is underwhelming. Had Mimi and Nippy recorded this a few years earlier, it would have no doubt slayed.
All in Your Mind - what lamb doesn't like this song? If not for anything but the whistles at the end.
Some of the songs we lost today were good but I'm actually okay with them leaving. Like they're middle of the pack for me despite me giving them 7s or 8s (that is average for me when it comes to Mariah).
