The funny thing was, every one (or at least almost everyone) expected KP to smash with Prism. She did, but I'm talking Teenage Dream smash. Out of 5 singles, 2 were the biggest. Everyone needs to stop being like "oh they're not going to top this!" Like who cares?

With each album, comes an even bigger success. Or at least for Taylor. I'll be honest, I didn't think she could outdo Red in terms of sales. But guess what? Sure did. And this album has been out 7(I think that's right) months.

Honestly, nobody could cross country and go to Pop and become this huge. The last person (this is solely just me talking) to do something like that was Shania.

And for just being 25 and having what she's done, I would kill to do what she's done by that age.

The GP is tired of Katy because she has too many bubblegum songs. DH saved the era because it was completely different to her sugary singles. KP will not see the critical acclaims light of day because she's made herself who she is and who everybody else sees her as, a generic bubblegum artist. Taylor started with critical acclaim, won AOTY at the Grammys, proved she was an artist first and foremost by releasing an album completely written by her alone right after seeing major commercial success. That's a true artist for ya. Sure, she sought out MM for major pop success, but that doesn't change the fact that those songs are 90% Taylor's doing. She is not some label puppet who does everything the producers tell her to do. Like Joseph Kahn said, and many others before him, she deserves all the credit she gets.


Taylor is bigger than Shania, much bigger actually. Shanias got albums, but of course album sales are much different in this day and age. Impact?? Let's give Taylor 5 years and we will see the major artists claiming Taylor as their inspiration, hell, they already do. Awards?! Chhh, all Taylor. Most awarded artist in AMA, and BB history. Most awarded album in country music history. She keeps on dominating, and at this rate, I don't see her slowing down. People can doubt all they want, but, what did they say about Madonna in her prime?! Taylor will be recognized with the greats, she already is.

Exactly. The credit is due where it's needed. Not many can write all the songs on one album and have it produced with them self and just one other person.

Taylor knows exactly what she's doing and how she's doing it. If she wants a song this way, it will be done that way. She won't sit there and be hushity hush about it.

Everyone always tries to shoot the artist down. And when they do, karma will get to them when that artist receives critical acclaim.

She is. BB themselves posted an article about it. Those MJ awards you take from his wiki page come from BB Year-End Chart. BB started giving out awards in 1989.
