Ireland is low on that LGBT index because the Government has been slow in passing a gender change law They have partnerships and full adoption rights; they are just trying to put a ring on it today

We're definitely heading in the right direction, but there's still a lot of ignorant people living amongst us, particularly in the West and the midlands.

The vote will probably be incredibly close, but all we can do is hope that the Yes side edges it. I mean the divorce referendum in 1994 won by 1%, but it didn't matter because it was still instated as the law!

It's very hard to tell here because of how secretive the voting process is. A lot of people here have unfortunately been influenced by the campaign from 'Mothers and Fathers Matter'. There's 'Vote No' posters everywhere around here, whereas the 'Yes Equality' ones are few and far between.

When I was voting today there were a few young people at the polling centre, but also a lot of older and very religious people there too. My mother was also talking to a few people and it very much seems to be mixed opinions, some voting yes, others voting no.

It's disgusting quite frankly. I don't care what arguments the no side use, it just simply is not good enough to go out of your way to deny others the same rights you have. And the fact they had to use children to justify their bigotry makes it even more disgusting.
