I love Boom Boom Pow. I just think it's what caused their sales to not be so high. It's a huge digital seller because it's so catchy, but it's the most generic first single they've ever put out. It sounds great when they perform it live, but contrary to ATRL's beliefs, a lot of people think the song itself is lame. I had to force people to listen to the E.N.D. because of how much they hated BBP.

Didn't you say this was their BEST single EVER? Why is the album not selling with their BEST single EVER and tons of promo behind it? Please explain.

You're exaggerating. Their numbers are not that bad either. They're just not living up to the success of the single, which is always possible. But to say "the album is not selling" is a stretch. Slow debuts in such cases are often signs of longevity.

i knew it wouldn't smash at all.. yes i agree.. they album is really good.. but it's just too 3008! i'm sorry, if this is the future of music we're in a problem.
BBP is just anoyying, from 1st listen.. it's like there is a declaration - we're the future. just because your music is Electro sh*t and every song is the same ****.. it's addicting yes i admit, but it aint worth 1.000.000 copied in week, or even 500.000 +

Poor choice of words on my part. I know the album is selling lol by "not selling" I meant "not selling as much first week as Elephunk and Monkey Business did". They'll still be one of the top sellers of the year. So far only one album released in 2009 has crossed 1 million.

Well, it's 2009, chances are rare that any artist would outsell their debut week from years ago. And as I said, it's "The Dutchess" scenario all again. The consistency of the smash singles will make this album sell throughout the entire year. This is not Fantasy Ride.

damn after boom pow pow number 1 for 10 weeks and the dutchness mega success i thought they would have sold at least 350-400k. but they will have longevity, the album has many hits.

I think album sales in general are really bad... I mean no one is buying CD's anymore, downloading is the thing now....And many are probably just gonna choose which singles they will buy instead of buying a whole album... It's like people are thinking why buy an whole album when you can just pick the good songs or the songs you like, but that's just my opinion
